  • Administrative, Local and Community Support - Information technology, list of local health department services
  • Chronic Disease and Injury - Program information on asthma, cancer prevention and control, diabetes, genomics, heart disease
  • Epidemiology - Information on disease and injury prevention and control, consultations on community health problems
  • Oral Health - Only statewide dental program provides prevention and education services specifically for children
  • State Center for Health Statistics - Collect & maintain comprehensive health statistics, prepare health-related research & reports
  • State Laboratory of Public Health - Provide medical & environmental laboratory services (testing, consultation & training) to health providers
  • Vital Records - Responsible for registering all births, deaths, fetal deaths, marriages, and divorces in NC
  • Women's and Children's Health - Preventive health services beginning pre-pregnancy period and extending throughout childhood, administers programs serving individuals developmentally disabled or chronically ill
  • Division of Environmental Health - Improve public health by controlling environmental factors adversely affecting human health
  • Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities - Policies and programs to improve access to public health services for underserved populations
  • Office Research, Demonstrations, and Rural Health Development - Technical assistance to small hospitals and community health centers in rural and medically underserved communities
