Mr LaGrange's academic background and interest in civil society and democratic
development on a global scale led him to research Voter Participation, Civic
Participation, and Government Accountability in the state for the NC Progress
Board. Keeping NC in the forefront of progressive thinking in
addressing these topics has allowed him to provide current information relating
to these imperative subjects, but at the same time has allowed him to learn
much from other states and policy think tanks.
