Duke University Tracing its origins to a rural schoolhouse in 1838, Duke University has evolved into one of the world's leading institutions for education, research and medical care. Center for Health Policy, Law and Management An instigator and facilitator of a broad range of research related to public health and the policies that address it. It was created as a joint venture in 1998 among Duke's College of Arts and Sciences, the Law School, and the Fuqua School of Business. Faculty members collaborate with research colleagues across schools and disciplines and teach many of the university's course offerings in health policy.
Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy The Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy educate's tomorrow's leaders and improve the quality of public policymaking through research, professional training, and policy and community engagement.
Elon University Elon is a premier private university where students may choose among 50 major fields of study leading to bachelor of arts, bachelor of fine arts or bachelor of science degrees. A dual-degree engineering program, affiliated with North Carolina State University, Georgia Tech,Virginia Tech, Columbia University, Washington University in St. Louis and North Carolina A&T State University, allows students to earn undergraduate degrees from both Elon and a partnering school.

Elon Institute for Politics and Public Affairs

Organized as a public service unit of the Department of Political Science at Elon University. Through its three centers, the institute endeavors to eliminate the disconnect between the academic realm and the "real world" of the citizens, policy makers, administrators, activists and civic leaders. The institute seeks to facilitate informed decision-making on issues affecting the public interest and to strengthen civic leadership.
